Andrew Jackson Jihad- Candy Cigarettes & Cap Guns

AJJ are one of my favorite folk-punk bands around today. Their songs are full of energy and emotion. The lyrics range from being dark and creepy to happy and goofy but they are always witty. Candy Cigarettes is the band's first album and it's definitely worth the listen. They balance darker and more personal subjects than on their later albums with upbeat songs that are there for comic relief.

  1. Basically everything they've ever put out, including the Off With Their Heads cover, is awesome.

  2. I know right? That cover is amazing. Have you heard their David Bowie cover from the new ep? The way they arranged it is so simple and they make it their own.
